Dr. Sahara Haney is an educational technology enthusiast based in Louisiana with over twelve years of experience in education, instructional technology, professional development, and leadership.

Dr. Haney is a passionate about student engagement and leveraging technology to provide equitable learning experiences for all students. She is also an advocate for effective and impactful teacher preparedness and professional learning. She believes that all high quality teaching and learning begins with the support provided to teachers and professional development should be on-going and differentiated experience for ultimate success. 

Dr. Haney has worked as an English Language Arts teacher, grade level and department chair, district technology coach, technology coordinator, and technology director. In 2014, she was recognized as her school's Teacher of the Year. She has also earned numerous grants to help with the successful integration of technology in her classroom. 

Dr. Haney attended Southeastern Louisiana University (2011), Louisiana State University-Shreveport (2017), and received her Doctorate of Education from University of Louisiana Monroe (2020). Her dissertation was titled, "A Qualitative Study Examining the Impact of Professional Development on Elementary Teachers' Technology Self-Efficacy and Integration Efforts".
